Establishing relationships with clients and becoming an extension of their team is crucial to the results I am able to achieve for them, and it is a joy to work closely with the marketing team to proactively achieve state-wide publicity for Queensland Country Bank and Queensland Country Health Fund, and in Darwin for their affiliate brand, Territory Health Fund. The transparency of information sharing and establishing internal relationships enables me to find the newsworthy angles and accompanying visuals to pitch to the journalists. This has resulted in a signifcant increase in positive media coverage, and I am entrusted to represent the organisation in all facets from media release distribution, liaising with the Executive Team and Branch Managers, coordinating press calls and reporting.

One of the highlights was being actively involved in the launch of Queensland Country Bank’s innovative “Flip Jerseys” at the North Queensland Cowboy’s first home game at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, achieving significant publicity through print, radio and television news, including a live cross on the Today Show.

“Since bringing Julie’s services in to our team we’ve been able to share the great community stories that happen every day at Queensland Country Bank with more people, through her ability to find an angle for journalists that works and proactively pitch our stories. Her terrible dad jokes and puns also make her a delight to work with.”
