As an award-winning playwright, I have had my short plays performed throughout Australia and overseas, but by far my biggest achievement was writing and producing a full-length play Displaced, which was inspired by the true story of my husband’s Polish grandparents. Displaced was performed by Full Throttle Theatre Company at the Courthouse Theatre in Townsville in November 2016, directed by Sonia Zabala.
To complement the play, an exhibition on the Stuart Migrant Centre was curated and displayed in Townsville City Library leading up to the play, and then moved to the foyer for the performance season.
